1. How do colour, size, images, and layout influence perception?

- Poster A : Uses dark, warm colors + real photo. Makes the chicken look tasty, juicy, and premium. Big price + quantity grabs attention fast. Layout feels modern and like a real fast-food ad. It feels "real" and urgent because of the photo and "1 HARI SAHAJA".

- Poster B : Bright red + yellow gives energy and feels fun/retro. The cartoon image makes it look playful and casual, not premium. Layout is simple and focused on 1 piece. It feels more like a small local shop or street stall.

2. How does price display, text style, and visual design affect value?

- Poster A : Price is huge "RM21" with old price "RM32" crossed out. Looks like good value / bundle deal. Bold, clean font feels trustworthy and professional. Real photo makes it look attractive, not cheap.

- Poster B : "$2" in a circle is simple and looks cheap/affordable. Handwritten + vintage font feels fun but less professional. The cartoon makes it look budget-friendly rather than high-quality.

3. Which advertisement looks more appealing and trustworthy? Why?

Poster A looks more trustworthy and appealing.

Why: It uses a real photo so you know exactly what you get. It has a brand name "Mekdi", specific date, Halal logo, and clear terms. That makes it feel legit and professional. Poster B is cute but generic - no brand, has a typo "MET" instead of "MEAT", and cartoon art feels less serious.

4. What image does each advertisement give?

- Poster A : Premium, promotional, tasty, and urgent. "Limited time holiday deal from a big brand" vibe.

- Poster B : Cheap, fun, casual, local. "Hot and fresh from a small shop" vibe.

5. How do contrast, size of product image, and promotional words influence attention?

- Poster A : High contrast with dark background makes the golden chicken pop. Huge product photo + huge "5" and "RM21" immediately pull your eyes. Words like "PROMOSI MUSIM CUTI" and "1 HARI SAHAJA" create FOMO and urgency.

- Poster B : Bright red background gives strong contrast too. The big cartoon drumstick is the focus. Words like "HOT AND FRESH" and "$2" are simple and direct, so you notice the price fast. But it feels less urgent.

Product graphics occupy nearly two-thirds of the canvas. Uses a flat, illustration instead of real food. Text wraps the central graphic, giving it a stylized than a focal visual flow.

Poster B: Features a high- contrast dark background paired with glowing gold and bright orange call outs. The physical portion of chicken appears massive and portion size. It highlights realistic textures in the viewer's brain. Uses a top to bottom visual hierarchy designed around cognitive reading patterns.

2.How does the price display, text styles and visual design affect whether the product?

Poster A: The price is presented in a flat, monochrome circle. It gives the impression of a low cost, impulse budget snack. Decorative scripts and retro styling.

Poster B: Uses Price Anchoring. By showing a higher original cost, the brain automatically perceives the current price. Bold, heavy sans serif block fonts casualness.

3.Which advertisement looks more appealing and trustworthy?

1. How do colour, size, images, and layout influence your perception of the product?

Poster A (Crispy Fried Chicken): The bright, retro red and yellow colors paired with a simple cartoon drawing give it a fun, lighthearted vibe. Because the main image is an illustration rather than real food, it feels more like a casual, playful snack ad rather than a serious meal. Everything is centered nicely, with the big "$2" badge grabbing your attention right away to show it's cheap.

Poster B (McDonald's): This one uses warm, moody lighting against golden-brown tones that make the chicken look genuinely juicy and appetizing. Instead of a cartoon, it uses a real, high-resolution photo of actual fried chicken in a box, which makes it feel tangible and real. The layout places the big savings right up front, balancing the branding with a sense of urgency.

2. How does price display, text style, and visual design affect whether the product looks cheap, attractive, or good value?

Poster A: The bold script text and simple round "$2" price badge give it a novelty, budget-friendly feel. However, because it relies on a cartoon graphic and lacks a real brand, it crosses the line from looking like a "good deal" to looking a bit generic or cheap.

Poster B: Showing the old price crossed out next to "RM21" makes the savings crystal clear, instantly communicating great value. Combined with clean, professional typography and the official halal logo, it transforms the ad from a cheap-looking flyer into an attractive, trustworthy corporate deal.

3. Which advertisement looks more appealing and trustworthy? Why?

Poster B is definitely the more appealing and trustworthy choice.

Why: It uses real food photography with professional lighting, clear promo details, and legitimate brand identifiers like the halal label. Poster A looks like a generic graphic design template or stock illustration, which doesn't trigger the same level of appetite appeal or brand trust as an established name like McDonald's.

4. What image does each advertisement give?

Poster A: It gives off a fun, cheap, and promotional image—like a quick, lighthearted local snack you grab on a whim without spending much.

Poster B: It gives a tasty, promotional, and high-quality image, positioning the meal as a satisfying, value-packed bundle from a reliable fast-food chain.

5. How do contrast, size of the product image, and promotional words influence your attention and interest?

Contrast & Size: In both ads, strong contrast (like bright text against dark or red backgrounds) immediately forces your eyes toward the main selling points. The oversized product graphics dominate the space, so you instantly know what is being sold the second you look at it.

Promotional Words: Phrases like "Hot and Fresh" in Poster A tap into your senses, while bulk details like "5 ketul RM21" in Poster B appeal straight to your wallet. Together, they create a psychological hook—blending hunger appeal with clear savings—to quickly grab your attention and make you want to buy.
