         <title>this was amazing!  I plan on centering the voices of Black women even more in my classes; also I love the idea of digital activism as a form of oral histories....that really resonates for me as a social studies teachers and I will definitely share many of these ideas with colleagues and other educators (Julie)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>We love that!!!!!<br><br>They provide that in airports in Japan!&nbsp;<br><br>I hate that people have to buy so much of their own stuff.&nbsp; Teachers used to buy bean bags to put into the back of the classroom and tell students to go nap.<br><br>There was a school that did something like that for students who are misbehaving or emotionally unregulated<br><br>Lay down, do some yoga, relax<br><br>We need that for older kids and adults too!</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>There is so much content on internet with Black high school students who have done spoken word poems about their lived experiences as high school students with trauma.&nbsp; There was a poem about how poems about Black student has to be about trauma.&nbsp; Was does my art need to be so painful and violent.&nbsp;<br><br>Poetry is good for kids.&nbsp; Another modality for expression.<br><br>Award shows (Oscars) the work that is rewarded is specifically about movies with Black trauma.<br><br>Billie Holiday film that felt "icky" that was reflective of the amount of praise that Black trauma gets.&nbsp; The film was about her singing "Strange Fruit" FBI in the back and this White woman stands up and praises the trauma that is expressed in the song.<br><br>Black people should be able to express that we are not a monolith. &nbsp;<br><br>The category of our joy in our workshop was a very relevant category because there was a lot of discussion about trauma and it was important that we had a bucket for positivity.<br><br>This is why Black feminist digital activism not only serves a social justice purpose, but also a source of resilience and empowerment</div>]]></description>
