Perhaps showing a documentary incorporating different social justice themes and then allowing students to choose which they would be interested in exploring further.

How can you advocate for change in your communities?  Giving the option, you can take the focus on this particular topic.  They may choose to talk about environmental issues, immigration, voting, topics that might come up about police brutality or intersectional experiences of Black students

There was a school that did something like that for students who are misbehaving or emotionally unregulated

Poetry is good for kids.  Another modality for expression.

Award shows (Oscars) the work that is rewarded is specifically about movies with Black trauma.

Billie Holiday film that felt "icky" that was reflective of the amount of praise that Black trauma gets.  The film was about her singing "Strange Fruit" FBI in the back and this White woman stands up and praises the trauma that is expressed in the song.

Black people should be able to express that we are not a monolith.  

The category of our joy in our workshop was a very relevant category because there was a lot of discussion about trauma and it was important that we had a bucket for positivity.
