In the STEM capacity, it is amazing to watch the students collaborate in a non-academic way to solve real world problems and complete the engineering design process.

Being a Colt Teacher is A-MAZE_ING because, I love watching children grow and learn. It is especially rewarding to see a student that starts out not believing in themselves, then get excited when they see they have made growth. Or to watch a struggling reader learn to be a fluent reader. For me, teaching is not just about academics, it is about helping the student to be successful emotionally and academically. To show them that they are loved and valued no matter their situation. In addition to the students, the staff is A-MAZ-ING! I have felt welcomed since my very first day. I am blessed to be a Carroll Colt!

After being a Colt Teacher for so many years, I've gotten to know the families and older siblings who were once my students. I enjoy talking to my students and seeing their growth. I put my effort into filling their cups in order to prepare them, so that one day they'll walk across that graduation stage.
