Whether you just started your summer reading book or are wrapping it up, leave some thoughts on the book you have. Write your reaction or leave a video or audio recording. Need inspiration? Here are some ideas you can respond to: What do you like about this book (e.g. the main character(s), the style of writing, the plot/the action,
the conflicts/problems, the relatability to your life, the fact that it presents a world very different from
your own, etc.)?
Would you recommend this book? Yes or no? Why? To whom would you recommend it? What would you ask/say to the author of this book if he or she were open to recommendations or
criticism? Here are some prompts... http://bit.ly/2WY9Kwx

So far in what I have already read in the story is that Jazz the main character is the son of a serial killer. In who have got caught by G. William the head of the sheriff. Also, Jazz's best friend is called Howie that has medical problems like sensitive skin, nose bleeds and other things. But, I think that Jazz is committed to busting serial killers by using advice that his dad new about how to be a serial killer.

What do you like about this book? The thing I like about this book is how Rufus seems like that kind of person to be kind when you're kind to him. But when you get him mad he will beat you up until he feels hes done. But as he meets Mateo he seems to change a lot and take life into another perspective that sometimes you dont have to do something for people to think your nice or not. As Mateo lived he would do nice stuff as he tried saving the bird that fell off the nest and he tried helping but got himself sick. Or when Mateo gave money to the homeless person and just made himself feel better. And Rufus is actually surprised that he met someone that is this humble.
Would you recommend this book? Yes or No? Why?
I would recommend this book, because it shows that you shouldn't take life for granted, you see how most of the character we met were in a foster home and had learn to take care of themselves because most people wouldn't. It shows how some characters get impacted as they find out that Rufus is going to pass away or how Lidia seems to be affected also, he saw him as a good friend too.
What would you ask the author if he/ she was open to criticism?

I would ask the author why did he decide to take this route for this book? Like why did people have to call other people for them to know when they would die? Like they would die at the end but obviously it's better to not have the anxiety of when you're going to die.

The book that I have been reading for the Freshman Center Reading assignment is the romantic novel “Everything, Everything” by Nicola Yoon, the author of the #1 New York Times Best-Sellers ‘The Sun Is a Star’ and ‘Everything, Everything’. The book is also a movie! Which I did watch, and it was just as good as the book.

What I liked about this book was as how the characters were all described and had their own unique personalities. Maddy’s situation is extremely, she has an illness and she can’t leave the house for that, her personality and her being so curious about the outside world is not helping her situation. To wrap it all up it’s quite different from our lives, for example Maddy has an illness that has affected her whole life, and the chance of a boy moving next door and he finds an interest and you do too, are very slim.

There is a very high chance of me recommending the book “Everything, Everything” simply because it has such a unique story line and there is so much risk and adventure in every chapter. I would recommend it to a good friend of mine, she lives for these kinds of books, and I think she would really like it.

What I would ask Nicola Yoon is what gave her the inspiration to make this kind of novel. And how she can go so far to describe such a little thing.

Something that I really enjoyed about this book was how the author brought forth the idea of just living life and taking advantage of it. I wholeheartedly agree with the theme that this book shares. Life isn't just about staying alive and being afraid of death all the time, and always being safe. If you're always going to try and be the safest you can possibly be, that may deprive you of actually doing what everyone should do: live life. I love how the author just put some quotes, like for example, the Oscar Wilde one, where he said, "To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that's all". Also the John A. Shedd quote, in which he states, "A ship in harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are built for." We can see how the theme that the author portrayed is very clear. A great example of it is Mateo. Mateo was just always so afraid of doing everything, even if it brought him joy. However, when he got the call from DeathCast and met Rufus, he was kinda forced into being more outgoing. In the end, he was happy with who he became, and that was because he finally learned to enjoy and make the most out of the little time he had left to live and he wasn't thinking of the negative side as much

I also liked how brave Jazz is and how he is so committed to find the serial killer that was killing people from his school. This book had some good moments and some bad moment in it, and i liked that. This booked kinda ended with a cliffhanger. I Would recommend this book to people who like suspense because like i said earlier, it was very mysterious and it seemed like something that you would see in a suspense movie. The Book "I Hunt Killers" is a interesting Book and i think that many other people will enjoy this book.

I don't think she has read "Everything Everything" before, and I personally think she would enjoy this book.
