Adolescent Egocentrism

Adolescent Egocentrism is a stage during adolescent development where people have a hard time differentiating between their perspective and other's perspective. This can cause a sense of being misunderstood and a low self-esteem.

This is definitely still a thing for teenagers today, I myself am a teenager and I have barely turned 18, but it still kind of happens to me. I think this can happen no matter what age of adolescence you are in, and it takes a long time to get out of that mindset

Imaginary Audience is a concept that makes you feel like you are constantly being judged, watched, or talked about even when that isn't the case. Mostly happens in teenagers because they experience physical and mental changes more often.

This is still relevant for not only teenagers but also adults. It is very easy to believe that people are judging you even when no one is paying you attention. I often feel this even if I am just walking in a store or playing at a park.

A personal fable is the belief that your own thoughts and feelings are special or more important than others.

This is probably still relevant today but not ass relevant as the other two. Especially in high school, people start to think they are better than everyone else which may contribute to bullies, but I don't think this is as severe as the others.

I fall onto stage 4 because I truly believe it. If it was me that would be the first thing that would come to my mind. That would help my mind justify my actions even if it is illegal. Saving someone's life, especially someone you love is very important, it is one of the things where you think about the consequences after you do the task.
