2. Why did you choose your career?

I am a student of Construction in Architecture and Engineering at Santo Tomás University. I grew up in an environment surrounded by construction materials and worksites, as my father and uncles are construction workers. I used to accompany them on weekends or during vacations, which made me develop a deep love for construction, design, and the entire process of carrying out a civil work. For this reason, I decided to study Construction at this university.

3. What would you like to do after your graduation?

4. What job would you like to have after your graduation? Why?

After graduating, I would like to continue specializing in various branches of this profession, such as Building Pathology. I would love to dedicate myself to remodeling properties and having a construction company focused on that field. The process of transforming a space into something better, more efficient, and more eco-sustainable is something I am passionate about and consider essential to extend the life of existing buildings.

My ideal job would be owning my own construction company, and I would love to carry out this project alongside my family, as they are very important to me. Regarding my salary expectations, I aim to earn between 10 and 15 minimum wages per month.

7. What are your strengths and weaknesses as an employee?

In the workplace, I am an adaptable person, I learn quickly, and I am meticulous in what I do. Additionally, I am organized and very responsible. However, one of my weaknesses is that I find it difficult to delegate tasks because, being so meticulous, I would like everything to be done exactly as I would do it. Even so, it is something I have been working on.

8. What are the positive and negative aspects in your career?

Construction, design, and creation are inherent to humans, dating back to the earliest civilizations, and are fundamental to the development of all societies. Whether building a house, a classroom, offices, or a hospital, everything is necessary for our progress. However, the construction sector has a significant negative impact on the environment. It is highly polluting, both in the construction process and in the sourcing of materials, so we must focus on a more environmentally friendly construction approach.
