I can help my credit score by doing lots of little things. These include never ignoring library fines or parking tickets, renting a car with a debt card, closing old credit cards, getting a new phone provider, paying off car loans, signing up for cable and internet, and not using my credit cards (Chase Mortgage Banking). I can also pay my bills on time, only apply for credit that I need, not getting close to my credit limit and having a long credit history (Personal Finance 13).
