“Kasarian-Kasarinlan” is a vibrant and unapologetic art exhibition showcasing the works of queer artists across various media, forms, and expressions. The title, a play on the Filipino words for gender and freedom, underscores the spirit of gender liberation rooted in the lived realities of LGBTQIA+ individuals from diverse social contexts.

This ongoing 60-day Pride Month exhibition is a collaboration among URS Angono’s Gender and Development Office, URS Angono Fine Arts Department, Culture and Arts Managers of the Philippines (CAMP) Pag-ayo, Inc., and Camp Neñada Community Center.

As part of the experience, each artist leads a walk-through of their work, sharing the personal and political narratives behind their creations. These moments of dialogue bridge art and audience, emphasizing that while visual art speaks for itself, lived stories breathe deeper meaning into every piece. The exhibit also features performance art and open mic poetry, transforming the space into a living, breathing platform for queer expression.

Posters and invites designed by participating artists circulate online and offline, capturing the essence of the show. Most works are available for purchase, with artist-set prices and agreed shares to support both creators and organizing partners.

“Kasarian-Kasarinlan” is more than an exhibit—it is a collective act of visibility, resistance, and shared humanity through art.

Camp Neñada is a multi-purpose community center dedicated to serving the Young Key Population (YKP) communities and organizations in the Province of Rizal.  It will function as an art space and a hub for various activities, initiatives, and advocacies that focus on mental health, sexual health, inclusivity & diversity,  and stigma reduction.  It intends to bring together different individuals, organizations, and resources related to these advocacies. The center may serve as a hang-out space and meeting point for people interested in these topics, a venue for events, workshops, and activities, and a platform for artistic expression that can contribute to raising awareness and fostering understanding of these advocacy topics.

Launched in November 2024, "The Gallery" will proudly unveiled its inaugural exhibition, "Pasintabi." This poignant and evocative showcase delves fearlessly into the realms of controversial and thought-provoking topics surrounding sexual health, sexuality, and mental health. "Pasintabi" goes beyond the canvas, utilizing art as a catalyst for conversations that challenge societal norms and break down stigmas. The exhibition will serve as a beacon for those seeking neutral spaces to engage in open discussions, fostering a community where individuals can express themselves freely without judgment.

"Paglaya" is the 2nd Milestone Exhibition at The Gallery, a powerful collaboration with LAMBANA – Angono Women Artists Collective. Featuring works by 12 women artists, Paglaya reflects deeply personal creative processes shaped by conversations on sexual and mental health, HIV-AIDS, sexuality, and the persistent stigma that silences these issues within families. Through art, Paglaya transforms The Gallery into a Neutral Space, where freedom of expression and social advocacy come together, fostering dialogue, empathy, and change.

For me, art is more than just something to look at—it’s a way to express feelings that are hard to say out loud. It helps me make sense of the world and share my thoughts in a visual way. Through my work, I hope to not just reflect reality, but to reshape it, question it, and connect with others.

It's almost 4 years since she was a senior high student taking an Arts and Design track. At the age of 18, she had her first group exhibit, which was held in Angono Rizal, with her Batch 2022. At the moment, she still not been in Solo Exhibiting. She started selling her artwork in 2023, and she also began to join in painting competitions or on-the-spot competitions.

No winnings at the moment, but she's carrying out to win the contest. Xhaine is still trying to discover new things in her work and trying to make new mediums that few people do. Her visual art emphasizes Painting, Printmaking, Sculpture, and Installation.

Rodler A. Villalon, known in the art and advocacy community as Odoi, is a practising studio artist and gender advocate based in Angono, Rizal. He currently serves as the Program Head for the Bachelor of Fine Arts major in Visual Communication at the University of Rizal System – Angono Campus, where he also acts as the Campus GAD Coordinator.

Odoi earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Advertising from Far Eastern University – Manila, and is currently pursuing his Master of Fine Arts at UP Diliman. He also holds cognate units in Gender and Sexuality Studies under the College of Social Work and Community Development – Women Studies, also from UP Diliman.

His artistic practice spans painting, printmaking, and mixed media, often exploring themes rooted in identity, social narratives, and gender expression. Blending creative expression with advocacy, ODIO uses his platform and artistic lens to challenge norms and champion inclusivity in both art and education.
