MNC's encounter both internal and external pressures; these pressures demand for growth or change to occur. Ever-evolvement and development are vital for MNC survival within the global marketplace. 
The main elemental difference between various structures and forms that MNE's have is the decision making process AKA chain of command/ communication. 
A well established MNE will most likely naturally find itself utilising a mixed structure; this structure is appropriate for networked organisations, which, at such matured stage of operations, businesses will have a large network. 
Key features of such firms are:
- Decision-making process delegated according to units/levels
- geographical function divisions tailored to each country of operation
- fewer levelled hierarchy- due to seniority of the team
- formal procedures less bureaucratic
