         <description><![CDATA[<div>1) - HAPPY CHILDREN LEARNS BEST. <br>- Create a platform to overcome challenges with growth mindset.<br>- Before teaching child, get to know them through activities about themselves, conversation with parents and orientations.<br>Know their likes and dislikes, most importantly be sensitive!.<br><br>2) Set a safe learning environment - celebrate success<br>- brain break activities. <br>Eg. Class cheer to have sense of identity and belonging. <br>- Have motivating themes for classroom design. Eg, posters of growth mindset with motto, values, messages and photos.<br>- Use brain breaks as a form for them to recover and introduce life skills. You can improvised brain breaks using packs of activity cards to maintain social distancing. <br><br>3) Celebrate moments like birthdays, display work, create opportunity to forge friendship and value their effort and learn to appreciate each other work.<br><br>4) Have Authentic lessons to connect with real world to motivate them. <br><br>5) Partner with parents. <br>- Give frequent updates for younger children and slowly decrease frequency as student settles in. <br>- Use class dojo, parents gateway, handbook instead of Whatsapp. <br><br>6) Establish expectations through classroom routine (Consistently)<br>- Use online tool like classroom screen. <br><br>7) Remember to care for yourself before taking care of others. Seek help and don't be afraid to ask for help. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Caring can be very subjective to different students. <br>CARE- <br>C: Communication<br>A: Approachability<br>R: Respect<br>E: Empathy<br><br>1) Communication is important as we should be able to bring across the knowledge effectively and in an interesting way. <br>A good communicator should be a good listener too. <br><br>2)Important to be approachable as we put our students at ease. It means to be open and welcoming. We need to let students know that we will get back to them and their enquiries will not be brushed off.<br>- Make the first move<br>- Share with them about our own life as well.<br>- non-verbal communication<br>- have a running list of questions to ask<br><br>3) Respect means honouring our students, appreciating their efforts and caring for them.<br>- learn to handle issues in a positive manner<br>- do not embarrass them in class<br>- respect for students is rooted in a teacher's belief and shown through their words and behaviour.<br>- choose words and tone, consciously listen to them, positive humor, positive feedback, acknowledge their growth.<br><br>4) <br>- perspective taking<br>- put aside judgement. step back and consider what more do i have to know about the situation.<br>- Understand students' feelings<br>- Reflective wording<br><br>5)Self care in order to care:<br>- Set up routine<br>- learn to say no<br>- Get organised<br>- Ask for help when needed<br><br>6) Discipline with love- CLAM<br>C: Clear rules<br>L: Logical consequences <br>A: Affirmation<br>M: Model good behaviour</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1) To care for others would mean that we look beyond the desirability in our own terms. <br>- Always care for others and do not simply act for them as object of our<br>care. <br><br>2) C.A.R.E<br>Communication <br>Approachability <br>Respect <br>Empathy <br>- Communication: <br>1) Conveying and engaging the knowledge to the people learning. Also being patient and use different ways to help students understand the knowledge. <br>2) Using verbal and non-verbal. Paraphrase, use illustration and communicate to individual student so that everyone makes progress. <br>3) Explain expectation so that student can deliver. <br>4) Speaking is sliver. Listening is gold. <br>5) Pay attention to what the student are saying and invest in them. <br><br>- Approachability: <br>1) Teachers should be approachable so that the students are put at ease and they can trust you. <br>2) Welcoming, open and approachable. <br>3) Important to let students know that you will get back to them if they ask questions. <br>4) Make the first move to talk to the student <br>5) Share about yourself<br>6) Body language such as smile, eye contact, nodding are important. <br>7) Keep a running list of questions to ask as a starter question. Set up journal or set up mail box for student to write to you.<br> <br>- Respect<br>1) Using appropriate words and tones so that you gain the respect of students. Never embarrass the student.<br>2) Use positive humour no sarcasm <br>3) Acknowledge student grow and set a positive classroom culture <br><br>- Empathy<br>1) Don't judge a student but try to understand them and make sure that you really listen to what they have to say. <br><br>3)Caring for yourself before caring for others by:<br>- Setting up routine for your daily life<br>- Learn to say no so that you can have time for yourself<br>- Learn to ask for help when needed. <br><br>6) Discipline with love- CLAM<br>1) Clear rules<br>2) Logical consequences <br>3) Affirmation<br>4) Model good behaviour<br><br><br></div>]]></description>
