Ms. Maryam is an excellent role model who genuinely cares about her colleagues and learners, which is why I have selected her as my Mentor in Teaching (MST). I want to emulate her as I get ready to teach by creating a balance between emotional support and academic achievement. I'm inspired by her commitment, inventiveness, and kindness, and I want to infuse my classroom with the same energy and passion.

I relate to the quote, "Education is not just about teaching facts; it’s about inspiring a love for learning," because I want to do more than just teach; I want to give my students a purpose in their education. This becomes a reminder to me as a student teacher preparing to teach my class that my objective is to encourage my pupils' interest and confidence.   Like Ms. Maryam, I want to foster an environment where kids look forward to learning and developing daily.

I want to be the kind of teacher that makes an eternal impact on learners, therefore graduating with distinction is only the first step in my goal.   In order to expand my understanding of teaching strategies and educational leadership, I am motivated on getting a master's and doctoral study.

Education and personal development go hand in hand, in my opinion. As a prospective teacher, I want to embrace life's adventures in addition to succeeding in the classroom. My leadership style is shaped by these experiences, which enable me to establish genuine connections with students and foster an inclusive, motivating, and stimulating learning environment.

My Background and Examples:  Academic Projects: I was in charge of planning a group project during my teaching practicum. I made a detailed strategy, delegated responsibilities, and made adjustments when unexpected problems happened.   This made it easier for our team to stay on course and finish the project effectively.

Personal Projects: I enjoy organizing and planning family vacations. From reserving lodging to organizing events, I make sure everything is organized to guarantee an enjoyable and joyful experience for all.

My Background and Examples: Classroom Adaptability: I used interactive games and teaching tools to help some students who were having trouble understanding standard lessons. Learning became more effective as I modified my teaching strategies.

 Collaborative Lesson Planning: I like enhancing lessons by collaborating with other student teachers.   In order to make the last session more interesting for the kids, I invited everyone to offer suggestions when improving an exercise.

Innovative Teaching Initiatives: I started a practical project in which students conducted research and gave imaginative presentations of their findings. Both teachers and students found learning to be more engaging and enjoyable as a result.

My Background and Examples: 

Resolution of Conflict: When two students couldn't agree, I assisted them in finding a reasonable solution and having a calm conversation about it. I learned the value of patience and justice from this event.

Academic Ethics: I always try to be truthful in my research and group projects. I think it's important to act morally in order to foster a respectful learning environment, whether that means correctly identifying sources or guaranteeing equitable participation.

Analysis:

I'm reminded by the quote that knowledge need not always come from personal knowledge.   Another effective strategy for personal development is to watch and learn from the mistakes made by others. I try to learn from experienced educators as a student teacher, taking note of their achievements and difficulties to enhance my own teaching strategies. I can improve my abilities more quickly and prevent needless setbacks by doing this. This way of thinking motivates me to ask for advice, welcome criticism, and keep getting better as a teacher.

I have a lot of respect for Ms. Maryam Al-Wahdy as a leader, and I can see both parallels and differences in our approaches. Although we have many things in common, such a love of learning and a dedication to the success of students, there are also areas in which her background and abilities offer insightful guidance for my own development.

Adaptability:

We both modify our teaching strategies in response to the demands of our students. To make learning more interesting, I frequently alter my classes by including interactive exercises or visual aids. By modifying her strategy to fit various classroom circumstances, Ms. Maryam ensures that every student remains engaged.

Continuous Learning and Improvement:

I constantly look for feedback to better my instruction since I firmly believe in self-improvement. I consider what is effective and what may be made better. This attitude is shared by Ms. Maryam, who often participates in training sessions and uses innovative techniques to improve her instruction.

• My Method: I'm still learning as a student teacher, therefore I'm concentrating on becoming proficient in the everyday tasks in the classroom. Even though I meticulously plan my lessons, I'm still learning how to think ahead and make organized plans that span a whole academic term.

• Ms. Maryam: She actively assists in providing guidance to other teachers. She facilitates conversations, shares her knowledge, and assists educators in improving their pedagogical approaches.

• My Method: I work with colleagues and take part in conversations, but I haven't yet assumed the role of mentor. Rather than conducting training or giving guidance, I am still learning from more seasoned educators.

Impact Beyond the Classroom:

• Ms. Maryam: She works on school-wide projects and supports more extensive educational advancements, demonstrating her leadership outside of the classroom. Policies, instructional methods, and the general learning environment are all shaped by her influence.

• My Method: Right now, I'm concentrating on helping my students and improving my own teaching techniques. Even if I incorporate innovative concepts into my courses, my impact is still restricted to the people around me. Like Ms. Maryam, I hope to eventually help bring about more significant reforms in education.

Extending Long-Term Vision:

I will research curriculum planning and go to workshops on strategic teaching in order to acquire a wider viewpoint similar to Ms. Maryam. To practice long-term planning, I will begin by creating educational units that span several weeks.

Accepting Mentorship: By facilitating peer discussions and sharing my teaching experiences, I intend to assume small mentoring roles. In the same way that Ms. Maryam supports her coworkers, this will give me the confidence I need to mentor others.

Increasing Transformational Influence:

I will focus on expressing my thoughts effectively and carrying out innovative projects in the classroom in order to motivate change like Ms. Halima. I will have a better understanding of how to make a lasting impression by watching seasoned educators in action.

In conclusion, I want to improve my long-term vision, mentoring abilities, and capacity to bring about significant change, even if I share Ms. Maryam commitment and flexibility. Like her, I aspire to become a leader who inspires others via practice and ongoing education.

Ms. Maryam and I both think that active participation is the best way for children to learn. We encourage inquiry and problem-solving as part of our support for student-centered learning. This is consistent with Vygotsky's Social Constructivism, which emphasizes the value of guided discovery and social interaction in the learning process.

 Ms. Maryam Method:

She bases her lesson plans on the developmental stages of her students, according to Piaget's Theory of Cognitive Development. She assists students in naturally developing their understanding through hands-on activities and discovery-based learning.

My Method:

I am more in line with Skinner's behaviorist theory, which promotes motivation and involvement through positive reinforcement. Structured routines and rewards, in my opinion, contribute to the development of a positive and productive learning environment.

Ms. Maryam promotes exploration, whereas I concentrate on structure and reinforcement, even though we both encourage involvement. I am able to balance the two methods for a more comprehensive teaching style by taking inspiration from her approach.
