Intro: Unlike most religions today, Roman mythology had a god for every aspect of life. They had gods like Jupiter, Neptune, Pluto, Minerva, Venus, Vulcan, and many other. Out of these gods, the most powerful ones were Jupiter, Neptune, and Pluto. Jupiter was the god of skies and thunder. Neptune was the god of the sea. Pluto was the god of the underworld: the world where the dead went to. Jupiter was the strongest of these big three and also the king of all gods. The romans got their religious ideas from the original greek religion which had gods like Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Athena, Aphrodite, and Hephaestus. 

Jupiter

Jupiter was the god of the skies and was also the king of all gods. Every god feared because he was so powerful. The Romans thought that when lighting struck, it meant that he was angry. Jupiter is depicted as a fit white man with a beard and staff in his hand. His signature weapon is his staff, which he uses to cause lighting.

Neptune

Neptune was the god of the seas/oceans and he was a very respected god since he was basically the second most powerful next to Jupiter. Romans sacrificed animals and things to him so that they could have safe travels in the sea since it was believed that if he was mad, he would cause powerful waves and would disrupt anyone at sea. Neptune is also depicted as a fit white man with a beard. His signature weapon is the trident.

Pluto

Pluto was the god of the underworld and was feared by the Romans. He was sort of the loner of the gods and was described as very distant from other gods. The underworld is the place that all of the dead  go to after they die. It is depicted as a very dark place and the underworld can be compared to the christian "Hell". His signature weapon is his helmet, which he uses to become invisible and put the darkest thoughts into someone's head.

Nero was thought to be the cruelest ruler to ever have existed and was the last emperor of Rome. His given name when he was born was Lucius Domitius Ahenobarbus. The infamous name Nero was adopted by his uncle to him when he was about 13. This cruel ruler is said to be born in 37 AD. He started to rule after from 54 AD and later died in 68 AD. After Claudius' sudden death in 54 AD, Nero started to rule. Some say that Nero's wife: Octavia, had fed Claudius poison mushrooms to kill him. By killing Claudius, Nero rose to the throne. Nero later went on to kill his wife in 59 AD. In 64 AD, there was a great fire in Rome that destroyed almost everything and people wrote that he was playing a fiddle while all this happened. This is most probably not true because fiddles didn't exist back then. The real story is that Nero was somewhere else and after he heard about the fire, he rushed back and provided food and resources, but not everyone trusted him. 

The fall of the Roman Empire wasn't just one dramatic event that happened in one time. The downfall of the Roman Empire was the amount of land that they had which was not controllable and that cause other empires to invade and then the Roman Empire fell.
