This article is about how Democrats in Texas want to bring back straight-ticket voting. This is where a ballot has the option to vote for everyone of a particular party. For example, a voter would check "Democrat" and that would cast a vote for every Democratic candidate (President, Senate, House, etc.). This relates to the KQ because many people choose to relate their opinions on issues by aligning with a certain political party. The labels help them to describe their political viewpoints.

This article talks about the large debate of cat vs dog people, and whether or not there is a clear line between the two. On one side, people often jump to say which side they chose to take. Generally, dog people are associated with extroverts and love to hang out, be active and have companions. On the other hand, cat people are much more quiet and introverted and don't, or prefer, to be alone. Even though this is generally what happens, there are still outliers. Some people are allergic to one, so they opt for the other. Or some people always grew up with a pet dog, and have no experience with a pet cat, so they always chose dog. Some people don't have any pets, but they still have some sort of personality. So there really is no clear divide. This topic relates to KQ because many people often jump to chose dog or cat, but it can never really tell you about that person or their personality. As people grow they may change there mind, especially since ever pet is different.

People that deny transgender females being stuck in the bodies they were born in rely on false assumptions. They believe that "all trans women have lived in the world unproblematically as men at some point." The only valid argument is that the oppression of women is not the same for women that were born as male. On the other hand, Caitlyn Jenner states that she has always felt like a women even before her transition. I believe that transgender females are authentic women.

This article adresses the debates and issues surrounding the labels used by the LGBTQ+ community. The article addresses the issues over oversimplification, marketing, branding and erasure. By pinpointing the different ways "LGBT" has been used in Western culture and marketing brands, the article talks about labeling in national policy and business through "pinkwashing". Pinkwashing is where a brand, company, or even country, says they support LGBTQ+ rights when there is no action to support it. Furthmore, the article talks about erasure, where the label LGBT, gay, lesbain, or transgender does not fit all in the said community, and thereby erases knowledge and funding for that particluar group. Thus, labels in this sense are very important in defining communities, education, and funding.

Some argued that the names were racist towards other countries.

This article discusses a study done around generational stereotypes and how they have effects in the workplace. Three groups of employees (younger, middle-aged, and older) were asked how they view their generation as well as others. These results were then connected to outcomes in the workplace. For example, the stereotype that older people are slower to adapt to technology affected how older employees received tech training. This article relates to the KQ because, especially in political discussions, age and generation are often credited as the reasoning for an individual's beliefs, even when that might not necessarily be true. In this instance, labels help people to justify their views without giving a legitimate or well-researched argument.
