I feel the use of a stickman would fit the comedy genre well adding a cartoon element within my piece. 'Comedy Central' included many ident examples which helped a lot. The main video which I found the most helpful was the one above uploaded by 'Steven Murdoch'. I also quite liked 'Noteworthy' but I was unsure whether the thin outline would fit in with the bold scene especially as the banana and the microphone make up elements of the title. The 'baddum tish' is an element I felt was needed and adds to the piece well. The use of sound effects as opposed to music adds more comedy within the ident and brings a lot of energy within the piece.
