         <description><![CDATA[<div>These laws set the framework for the systematic persecution of the Jews legally. It included two parts -  the Reich Citizenship Law, and the Law for the Protection of German Blood and Honor. The Reich Citizenship Law prevented Jews from becoming a citizen, and the Law for the Protection of German Blood and Honor pressed a series of restrictions on Jews, and limited their interaction with ‘true Germans’.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Nuremberg Trials were series of 13 trials held by the Allies that tried 24 major Nazi figures and sentenced half to death by hanging. This happened between 1945-1946 after the end of WWII. Hitler committed suicide before his trial.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This was the plan of Nazi Germany to exterminate all European Jews. In the end, over 6 million Jews were killed in Europe, which was 2/3 of Europe’s Jewish population. Those of Jews faith or origins were forbidden from owning businesses and were given other restrictions, they were forced to wear the Star of David, and all Jewish people were forced to move into Jewish ghettos. Eventually, they were sent off to concentration camps were they were forced to complete slave labor and either suffered until liberation, or died. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The first concentration camps in Germany were established soon after Hitler's appointment as chancellor in January 1933. By the time Hitler invaded Poland, there were 6 concentration camps, and rapidly increased when WWII broke out. People in the camps were forced to do slave labor, and they were mistreated and undernourished, which resulted in the high morality rate. Some of the camps were Auschwitz, Bergen-Belsen, Dachau, Belzec, Buchenwald, and Chelmno</div>]]></description>
