Last Saturday, while walking with hubby and Bruno around the neighborhood, we chanced upon this food truck in front of Canadian Tire in Windermere offering Filipino flavors of ice cream ( i.e. ube). Amongst the many ice cream flavors is halo-halo. It's shaved ice, slathered with milk, topped with leche flan (our version of creme brulee), sweetened red beans, fresh jackfruit, candied young coconut strips, colored jellos and a heaping scoop of ice cream. Halo-halo literally means mix-mix. I spent my four years of college in that building. It was spring like weather at that time and we were lucky enough to go on a dog sledding with that warm weather! It was one of the most memorable trip for me among all of the activities we have done in Banff and Canmore. I actually feel bad for the huskies because they're carrying three of us using that sled, but it was really fun!!! The mountain sceneries are really beautiful. The route lasted for 2 hours and I can't get enough of it! We fed the huskies after and surprisingly they are really friendly even though it's like 20 huskies pulling us for the whole dog sled route. I would definitely do it again, but next I'll bring treats for the huskies lol. I have been to Bruno Mars' concert and it is one of the most memorable concerts I have been. I think he dances and sings better in person than when you watch him on TV or music videos. Bruno isn't as tall as he looks like on screen, but he is soooo talented. A total performer. I am hoping that we can go back to normal so that artists can start doing concerts again. I really missed going on concerts and music festivals.
