         <description><![CDATA[<p>John Brown, a helper from the underground railroad, moved to Kansas which was a pro-slave state in the South, after he moved to Kansas he decided a retaliation was needed. Near a river in Kansas, Brown and others lured men out of their house and killed them, which made the South mad at the retaliation going against slavery.</p>]]></description>

The Confederate warships turned back to convey to Fort Sumter and opened a stronghold, after this fight the Civil War was underway.</p>]]></description>

Later, after Lincoln was elected president, Douglas made some questionable debates regarding different subjects that made people question his ability to be president.</p>]]></description>
