Fossil Fuel: a natural fuel such as coal, oil or gas, formed in the geological past from the remains of living organisms.

Kyoto Protocol: The international treaty that preceded the Paris agreement.

Paris agreement: a legally binding international treaty on climate change. It was adopted by 196 Parties at COP 21 in Paris, on 12 December 2015 and entered into force on 4 November 2016.
Corporate social responsibility (CSR): the notion that corporations have a degree of responsibility not only for the economic consequences of their activities, but also for the social and environmental implications.
Greenwashing: Greenwashing occurs when companies make misleading or untrue statements about their environmental practices.
