Over time the Author had went from the emotions of loving the Broken/fractured version of English that her mother had used to disgusted because of what everyone such as bankers and waiters had done at that point. Think about it was an emotional journey for the author in this essay she understood that language had affected the relationship with her mother even in the smallest of ways. Then the logical appeal is how the information the author had brought into the essay had actually fit into the story. It can even change how one views the way their own mother talks and that is a very interesting statement that anyone can make. 

The essay was more filled with metaphors. In example when I say metaphors I am really talking about how people described the language of the mother.
