Signified by the Matariki cluster of stars reappearing in our night sky, this is a time to reflect on the past year, celebrate the present, and plan for the year ahead.</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>This day makes the Maori   proud of their culture and feel welcome.</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>The Winds Of The Sky:</strong></p><p><strong>Ururangi. the eighth star is Ururangi which is connected to the wind. It refers to the food that grows in the ground, such as roots, vegetables, and grains. It is also the name of one of the nine stars in the Matariki constellation, which is associated with food grown in the ground.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><mark>tupuarangi: </mark>Tupuarangi, one of the nine stars in the matariki cluster is associated with food that grows above the ground and is strongly linked to birds. It represents land-based ecosystems, particularly forests, </p><p><br></p><p><mark>waipunarangi: </mark>In Māori tradition, Waipunarangi refers to the star associated with rain and atmospheric conditions, particularly the water that pools in the sky. It translates to "water that pools in the sky".
