Learning Goal: Throw object overhand with a fluid natural movement. Showing all the proper mechanical skills with higher accuracy and speed of completion.
Students are grouped by ability level in small groups of 2 or 3. I will also make sure on some days that students that are achieving the learning goal are paired with at least one student that needs extra guidance.
I will challenge students by using different size targets and varying distances. Along with modifying the lesson to the students who aren't succeeding.
I will use technology to show a jump start video on proper overhand throwing technique along with a journal, discussion board, and a quiz throughout the unit to monitor progress.

Learning goal: Step with your opposite foot when releasing the bowling ball.
Students are grouped according to skill level or level of experience. (small group of same level of readiness). Using learning stations (bowling alleys) students work together to monitor each bowler on their lane is stepping with the opposite foot when they release the bowling ball. Before the lesson begins as a class we would all discuss proper technique of bowling. Students will be given the opportunity to practice and show each other and the teacher their correct form. Students who are struggling with only taking one step before releasing. Students are more advanced can work on the three step approach. There could be a few computers set up around the room with a video prompt of correct bowling technique. Students who don't understand stepping with their opposite can go back and look at the video.
