This is the story of a circle. When we're first born, our circle is small, but as we grow and build relationships, our circle keeps getting bigger and bigger to include family, friends, neighbours, community, and beyond. It can be terrifying and uncomfortable for children as they step into the unknown, hence this picture book adaptation is the perfect way to start a conversation about expanding our worlds with kindness and inclusivity. This book is suitable for K2 children as they are moving on and stepping into a new phase of their life, which is going to Primary School, or any milestone that celebrates someone's world getting bigger.

A little extra note about the book: Brad Montague created Circles as an Instagram video adorably narrated by his kids. It became a book!

A story about very good egg. It's so hard to be a good egg when everyone is a rotten egg. The other eggs in the dozen behave badly and the good egg starts to crack from all the pressure of feeling like he has to be perfect.

Constant thoughts that you have to be "cool for school". Feeling pressured that you have to do everything just to fit in.

About the book:

There are cool beans in school, and then there’s an uncool bean. Always on the sidelines, the uncool bean unsuccessfully tries everything he can to fit in with the crowd — until one day the cool beans show him how it’s done.

This book teaches children how to cope with loss like the loss of their loved ones. Some days, it will be difficult as we remember the good times that we have with our loved ones but also teaches us that, we too can celebrate those good times that we once had.

This book is suitable for K2 as it uses simple language but, yet allows them to be able to resonate and understand. They might not necessarily have a loss of a loved one yet but it could happen to anyone that they love in the future. It gently addresses the feeling of missing someone and any emotions tag along with the feeling of loss in a safe space.

The book discusses 20 different feelings from happy to mischievous. The child is encouraged to identify these feelings in ways that are healthy and easy to understand.

This book is about an autistic girl named Holly who loves science but has to overcome her fear of sticky hands to participate in a slime experiment at school.   Holly has challenges due to her autism and sensory issues.  At home, she has trouble communicating with her family and eating pancakes with sticky syrup.  At school, she has difficulty with social interactions and is worried about touching slime.  But with the support of her family, teacher, and classmates, Holly gets the accommodations she needs in an inclusive and loving environment.  She gains confidence while trying something new—making slime.

This book is suitable for K2 children to know some of their friends are different, how they will feel, why they have big reaction to something they don't like or sensitive with, and how can we accept them and help them when they are overwhelmed.

Little highlight for this book author- Jen Malia, she is an autistic mom and she have three autistic children.
