Romans used the encaustic painting technique a lot for easel paintings. Paint for the encaustic painting technique was made from Vermilion, which made pigments, and wax. The Vermilion was mined at Almaden in Spain.
     Roman statues were  significant pieces of art. They were 3D models made out of clay, stone, marble, and even concrete. Statues were carved, molded, or chiseled. Roman artists loved statues so much they made a school dedicated for statues. An example of the dome being used is in the Pantheon, which they had a hard time making because they couldn't find a way to build the dome without it being unstable. Eventually they figured to make the bottom portion of the dome out of heavy materials and used lighter ones as they went up. Here's an example of the dome on the Pantheon.
