The Id is the instinctual part of humans, such hunger, aggression, and even sex. This is a trait that all humans and animals have in common.
Ego: This falls under the reality principle. Ego is a relation to the Id. Ego is more of an action of doing something that the Id feels. The Id makes us think about kissing someone, where as the Ego is the action of going over to someone and kissing them. 
Superego: This falls into consciousness and also unconsciousness. The Superego is our conscious. The Oral Stage, Anal Stage, Phallic Stage, Latency Stage, and Genital Stage. 
The Oral Stage has to do with sucking and biting on things at an early age, usually between 12 and 18 months. The Oral Stage has to do with personality because it can lead to oral fixations which can have negative consequences later in the adult life.
The Anal stage is when a child gains more control over their anal cavity. This usually occurs around 18 months to 3 years. This applies to personality because it is when a child learns approval and disapproval, as if the child learns what is expected of them during potty training. 
The Phallic Stage is when a child penis or vagina become the erogenous zone. This occurs between the ages of 3 and 6 years old. The Oedipus Complex plays a part in this stage. Where children start to have incestuous thoughts for opposite sex parent. This has to do with personality because in the future, it becomes the cause of what they look for in a significant other. Which is why most men marry their mothers and vice-versa.
The Latency Stage is kind of part of the Phallic stage. Usually between ages 6 and 12 years of age. This is more of the psychological view of the Phallic Stage. This is when the child doesn't think about sexual things, they just play and go to school. This stage does not really effect the personality as it is a dormant stage.
The final stage is the Genital Stage. In this stage, which happens during the start of puberty, is when the child becomes sexually attracted to people of the opposite sex that are not incestuous. This has to do with personality because the young adult realizes what they do and don't like in sexual preferences.
