From distractions to shorter attendance times, technology is not a solution for every situation. Smartphones have a bad reputation in the classroom and there was a strong debate about banning smartphones at school. Most of the time students spend in the classroom on their smartphones may be involved in social media by texting, tweeting, or otherwise, rather than in class, it is also easier to cheat when using a smart phone or a computer. However, banning devices such as smartphones is unlikely to work because students will inevitably bypass them. Teachers can help students learn better ways of self-control to help regulate their device use, but better lesson plans that encourage student involvement use less technology other than assignments.

However, the introduction of technology in education has introduced a lot more devices that students need. Currently, every student in college is advised to at least own a laptop since the era of paper is being substituted for digital learning.
Students have to spend extra money on software for their devices and even on maintaining these technological devices. Universities have to charge more for tuition because they offer access to new forms of technologically advanced resources for their students. Now when it comes to schools and ICT it's a must that learning should be integrated with ICT as the ICT provide much more convenient learning platforms of which can be of good advantage to both teachers and Learners as these platforms provide a much more effecient way of delivering and storing information. If we take a look Microsoft Teams a teacher easily facilitates a lesson from a distance and is able to interact and bring the best participation out of Learners because the environment is much more informal as compared to a classroom and with the matter of loadshedding being an intermittent factor those affected by it can easily access recordings and be up to speed with the content. Although the above may sound good These platforms are only a vivid imagination for those in the rural areas as they don't even have access to such a basic thing as running water and toilets, the advancement of technology is way far from their reach of there has to be change the Government as well the private sector need to spend more on improving the infrastructure of schools and an investment in technology will be the difference as ability to use technology is a basic skill in this modern world, I've seen Learners unable to complete their assignments that requires the use of technology just because they were deprived the use of technology in primary and high school which as a consequence a lot of students in tertiary struggle in their first and 2nd year university level because during these levels computers are used immensely. I strongly suggest that ICTs should be introduced at primary school level in order to enable Learners to keep up with the fast pased world of technology and to equip them for better opportunities in this world. I think change needs to come with us as the modern teachers as we know better we need to be advocates for technological advanced learning environment, let's use those computer labs to grow the minds of our Learners and expose them to the Vast ICT world that is full of opportunities awaiting to be pounced upon.
