Add 3 cubes to each tube.
Add 10ml of the enzyme pepsin to the test tube A.
Add 5ml of pepsin and 5ml of water to the tube B.
Add 10ml of hydrochloric acid to the test tube C.
Add 5ml of pepsin and 5ml of hydrochloric acid to tube D.
Obtain four strips of blue litmus paper. Dip a clean plastic stirrer into the solution in each tube and then touch the stirrer to a piece of litmus paper.
Insert stoppers in the four tubes and store them.
The next day examine the content of the tubes. Then test each solution with litmus paper.
