Some of the content of the courses we have already learnt in school, but it was a good refresher course for us. The site visits were interesting as we finally can see the third rail, ballasts, etc upclose since we've only been learning about it in black and white. We were given the task to learn more about the software Articulate Storyline 2. So I researched on finished examples of Articulate Storyline 2 projects and it gave me many ideas. I wrote down my ideas on a piece of paper which includes things like how the voice-over should be bright and not monotonous, how the text and colour scheme must work together to have maximum visibility for the users etc. After which, one of our supervisors brought us around the office for introduction. It was a really light-hearted and heart-warming one because everyone was so welcoming of us. After lunch, we continued with our research and we were given the task to draw out a cartoon version of an SMRT worker (though he wanted it on a later date) and also to do our project timeline on Microsoft Excel. Today is the last day of being alone YAY. Currently doing the same PowerPoint slides, still, and researching on how to make my WSM e-learning more interesting as instructed by Vincent. I did a draft of the layout of how I wanted my e-learning to look like. I was afraid it will be too taxing for someone who have not used Articulate Storyline 2 before. So I asked Fenny if my idea was achievable. Thankfully she said it's pretty easy to do whatever I've planned out as the software is easy to use! (She self-learnt the whole software!) So I'm hoping it will turn out as planned, or even better! I believe receiving constant feedbacks and ideas from the people here would be of great help for me. Today, one of our colleague gave us videos on Articulate Storyline 2 tutorials. The videos are very useful for beginners like me as it is step-by-step and very clear. After which, I went to research on more quiz templates for Articulate Storyline 2. It is very interesting as there are so many different templates to use for our e-learning. There's Drag & Drop, word search, Click & Reveal and character motion etc. Can't wait to start on the real thing! (*;__;*)

Today we were told that our presentation will be on next Monday. Our supervisor will be listening to our ideas for our e-learning and work from there. We can finally access the internet through our SMRTi account! So we've installed Articulate Storyline 2 into our laptops. It keeps giving me an error report whenever I tried to preview my project. I emailed the help desk but so far, no replies. So I uninstalled it and downloaded it again. Currently at 29% with 36mins 30secs remaining. I hope it can work after this! 

On a side note, my supervisor asked me to attend a Work Safety Manual (WSM) course for two days. To listen to it, know how dry and boring the content is so that I can do a better, interactive and fun e-learning for them users. We attended a WSM course during the first week of internship but that was just a partial of it. So I will be attending a full WSM course. Not sure when it'll be though! 

We had a mini presentation today on what we've gathered and our ideas so far. It wasn't that formal so when we presented, our supervisors will input in their ideas slide by slide, tell us what is needed and what is not. I feel that it's good for me so that I can heed their advice and get ideas from them. We were also given 2 other datelines. 3rd October will be the day that we have to submit our report, with only the project objective and purpose, and our project timeline. Next will be on the 10th October, which will be the e-learning questions for one of our topics. As for me, it will be the topic Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Today, we had our presentation on what we've done so far on our project. I received feedback and good ideas on what to add on to what I've done to make it more interesting and fun. 

After the presentation, I continued doing my WSM E-learning and applying the given feedback and ideas during the presentation. We will meet our supervisors again next Friday afternoon. They decided to leave Friday afternoons free for us so that they can monitor and see how we're doing so far.
