The woods are because I like going outside in nature. I play video games and listen to music, so I included a game console and music. I also put a photo of a blanket nest. Blanket nests are soft and I like them.
A quote that I enjoyed was "Everyone has his or her own way of learning things" (84). I liked that line because it did not say that the Englishman's way of learning was bad. Many people learn through books, and although Santiago does not learn like that, he understands and respects that the Englishman does.
Another quote that I connected with was "Well, that's good. Your heart is alive. Keep listening to what it has to say" (128). Santiago thought that because he was upset, his heart would not be reliable.
