I hope she'll be a fool-that's the best thing a girl can be in this world, a beautiful little fool.
Daisy, Nick, and Jordan were talking about Daisy's baby daughter, in Chapter 1. Jordan and Nick were hoping for the best for her daughter, but Daisy replied with," i hope she'll be a fool", meaning that at the times they were living in, women weren't looked at for their intelligence, they were looked at for their subservient.

the scene when Daisy were talking about her daughter

Back in the day, women didn't have that much rights as men. They weren't as equal to men. A girl trying to do something for her life back then was much harder. That is why Daisy is saying this, if she is a fool, she'll have a much better life for herself.

The world was much rougher back then too. If you were rich it was easier then being in middle class. If a girl tried to do something for herself, they'd just get knocked down. If you acted like a beautiful fool and found a man then you'd be set for life. Like how Daisy is, she knows being a "fool" was a better way of living, not for happiness but for survival back then.
