Allie- The Articles of Confederation were the predecessor to the current United States Constitution. Established in 1776, the Articles were founded shortly after the United States gained it's independence from Great Britain. Needing a central government to unite the now emancipated colonies, the Articles of Confederation were one of the first attempts at uniting the United States. Although eventually failing at it's original intent to centralize the colonies, the Articles eventually paved the way for the later Constitution.

Ava.A-The Article of confederation was first thought about with 3 men, The "chair men" of committee was the first draft by John Dickinson. The colonies knew they needed some form of of an official government to reunite the 13 colonies. The confederation needed to be "ratified" to be official. The articles of confederation had many downfalls but also many flaws with it, some one those flaws were "Way to enforce laws passes through the congress, No money to raise through taxes,Each state has a vote in national votes, and no national court."
