I recently finished reading the book, We Dream of Space, by Erin Entrada Kelly. The book takes place in the year 1986, and is a piece of historical fiction. Following three siblings, the story is centered around the upcoming launch of The Challenger. The story itself is split up by the different character's point of views throughout each chapter. I really took an interest in this book as I hadn't known much about The Challenger before I started reading Kelly's book. It does a phenomenal job of providing facts, and life lessons through the story of its characters, and the history and science of The Challenger. Additionally, learning the history behind The Challenger is not only important in the social studies setting, but it allows allows room to explore cross curriculum connections in the science setting as well.

We Dream of Space follows the story of three siblings, Cash, Bird, and Fitch. It takes place in the year of 1986 and is centered around the time of the launching of The Space Shuttle Challenger.
