When he swears he remembers deleting the random app last night, Ryuji and him then suddenly end up at a castle of where their school should be. (Meaning they are not real but distortions inside of Kamoshida's mind.) And they are being abused. Now Ren and Ryuji are starting to feel like they should back out of this situation. Then they find a way to leave the metaverse to go back into the real world. Ryuji and Ren now come back to the cognitive world and they walk around until they hear something whining in a jail cell, it is a cat named Morgana. So then they started talking to the talking cat and were confused.  So then Morgana started explaining what the place is, and what are personas, and explained that these are distortions are what Kamoshida feels in his heart, and in order to make him stop and confess they have to steal his heart. Sooner later a girl named Ann has started to realize they were acting weird towards Kamoshida, and Ann is fairly close to him. So she asked what they were doing and asked if they placed the calling cards around the school. So they obviously deny it. Later on, as they are fighting in the cognitive world.
