  • Embry Riddle University (Daytona Beach, FL and Prescott, AZ)
  • California Aeronautical University
    • There is still many universities have pretty good aviation program. But the 5 I picked (there is 2 Embry-Riddle), they all have their own airport. You don't have to go somewhere else to fly.

    The best is between Purdue and Embry Riddle. Because Purdue have other non-aviation related majors. Embry-Riddle is literally for pilots and astronaut.

    Advantages for Flight School:
    - No worries on majors
    - Nothing but flying and learn aviation.
    - Less students

    Disadvantages for Flight School:
    - Expensive
    -Less students (if you prefer larger school).
    - Only few majors.

    • If you decide to attend somewhere like Purdue, have variety of majors. Above are ones best to become a pilot. Pilots need to understand physics, Engineering gives you experience to aerospace and physics.

    But for flight schools, you just learn to become a pilot, nothing else to worry about.

    You need a 20/20 eyesight, either with or without glasses. Because without a great eyesight, you might not see through clear while flying an airplane.

    You CANNOT be a color blind, because in the airport there is many kinds of light signals for pilots to communicate.

    - The FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate referred to internationally as a Commercial Pilot License (CPL). It is unlike the Private Pilot certificate, which is designed for recreational use. 
    - Be at least 18
    - Obtain Private Pilot License

    ATP (Airline Transport Pilot)
    - ATP helps you prepare for the Airline Transport Pilot Knowledge Test (ATP written test). The course includes 32 hours of classroom training followed by 10 hours of flight simulator training.
    - Obtain Private Pilot Certificate
    - Be at least 18

    Flight Instructor Certificate
    -     After having completed the required training, the Flight Instructor Rating will allow you to act as a Flight Instructor, teaching Ground School and providing Flight training to other students. 
    - Obtain Private Pilot License
