         <description><![CDATA[<div>De Soto was a Spanish explorer who made a "fortune in the Central American slave trade," in the 1530s. He journeyed to North America, of course, in search of gold. His goal was to overthrow and conquer the Spanish monarchy in Florida. He was said to be the one of the "richest men in Nicaragua." During his expedition he was able to conquer Peru. This fruit grows along vines and sprouts flowers. Though they "are often heavily armed with prickles."
