Challenges: Timing with scheduling and duration of PLC, ensuring all participants included: sped & ESOL

Team 8: Timing and coverage for PLCs continue to be a challenge for effective implementation. Providing staff with clear expectations, such as what to bring and what to expect, prior to PLCs through a shared calendar help improve organization and efficiency. Additionally, continuing to build a strong, collaborative PLC culture focused on student outcomes will be important. Encouraging purposeful dialogue, data driven decision making, and shared accountability can help maximize the impact of PLC time.

- Could use more time to get to the what are we going to do about it

- A message from the district to teachers would be nice to share the county directive, what's expected, etc. for PLCs

- County message about CFAs so there is consistency (how many, how often, what they should look like, how the data should be collected to be analyzed at the county level, etc.)

- Challenges as to how to get SPED and ML teachers to participate more deeply in the PLC process for moving students forward

Challenges: Time to hold PLCs with fidelity; some groups implementing CKLA pilot while others are teaching Fishtank limiting the ability to collaborate; the need for coaches to be actively involved in the discussions and leading PLCs

Intentional Leader Moves: Serving as a regular, active participant in PLCs and engaging in the conversations and work, not just observing; modifying the structures to support our school needs and teacher needs

Early on, getting all teachers to buy in and understand the purpose was a challenge. Having all teachers come to the meetings prepared with their data has also been a challenge.
