When Cassidy came into our lives last winter, she talked a lot about wanting to learn from our team. What she didn't say was how much she was going to teach us. We learned so much more from her than any knowledge we imparted about our work. Cassidy taught me what living life to fullest looks like at 26, or any age. Her positivity was infectious, and she seemed unfazed by any challenge she encountered - truly unflappable and transcendent. She had this beautiful balance of confidence and generosity that made spending time with her a joy. She leaves a gap so much bigger than you'd expect from working with someone for a short 10 months, and I will forever be grateful for the quiet lessons she taught me along the way. Be fearless, be bold, be joyful, be fair, find humor in the absurdity of life, and above all else, be kind and compassionate to all those around you. One of her superpowers was her ability to connect with people from all walks of life, and it was illuminating to watch her move through the world drawing people in. I feel so fortunate to have been one of those people and will carry Cassidy's light with me always. ~Elizabeth

I met Cassidy for the first time at the RH Capital retreat this past Fall. I was so struck by her positive energy and enthusiasm, she made a meaningful impression on me the moment I met her. As a founder who didn't know many people there, she made me feel welcomed and included. Cassidy will be so greatly missed and I'm glad I had the chance to get her know her in the short time we were able to spend together.

I met Cassidy last summer at the Rhia Ventures/RH Capital work retreat. Liked her immediately and before the retreat was even over I remember thinking I was already looking forward to seeing her again next time. She was impressive in every way. The world is a better place for her having been in it.

My first impression of Cassidy is that she exhibited "cool girl energy". From her flawless winged eyeliner to her socal beach style, I was really surprised to learn she came from the east coast! Though we met online, we connected in-person at many work events. I fondly remember one lengthy discussion about astrology in Boston at the Women's Health Innovation summit- We holed up in a corner booth at the mixer; I remember thinking that I should be working the room but I was so wrapped up in our discussion about placements, planets in houses, and rising signs, I couldn't peel away. She really knew her stuff. I have the same pair of headphones that she had and now I think of her every time I put them on. Rest in Peace Cassidy (and Lochie), your effortless presence and good vibes will be so so missed. -Caitlin

This photo is the last text I sent to Cassidy. It is a rainbow shining through the clouds on a surfing beach in Noosa, Australia. I think of Cassidy and Lochie now under that rainbow surfing in paradise. Cassidy was passionate and curious about everything she touched-her work, her friendships, her hobbies, especially surfing and flying. She continually amazed me with all she packed into life for someone so young. Her ability to connect with people was truly amazing and her fearlessness was inspirational. She joined our team to hone her technical investing skills yet she had so much to teach us about living life to the fullest. We will miss you dearly. As many have called out - Cassidy had an infectious energy, adventurous spirit and ability to connect with anyone. Beyond that, I will miss having a work-out buddy (or two, with Lochie) and fellow seafood lover. I will miss the gossip and random chitchat in and out of the office. I will miss her quirks - emphatic head nods and “sure!” as you spoke, incredulous “what!” and “that’s crazy!” reactions and the way she slapped the back of one hand into the other palm repeatedly to emphasize a point. To make sense of all of this, I have to imagine that there is an alternate universe out there somewhere where Cassidy and Lochie’s timelines continue with their wedding and other life plans. From the first moment I met Cassidy, you could feel her shine. She was confident and warm with such a beautiful smile. Her adventurous spirit was so refreshing and inspirational. She was such a positive force on our team and I will miss her. I'll miss the zoom calls with Kane laying on the couch behind her, her take charge attitude and most of all her kindness. It makes me smile knowing she was a Swiftie and into astrology. Every time I listen to Taylor, I'll think of you, Cassidy. You were bigger than the whole sky. Peace. - Tricia

I feel so fortunate to have worked with Cassidy and appreciated her perspective on our work to constantly challenge and push us forward. I loved hearing about all her adventures and all those yet to come - she was always a good reminder to just have FUN and to find meaning in everything we do.

A Monday I'll never forget

You know those people you meet through work and just know you will convert them into a lifelong friend? When I met Cassidy, I knew she belonged on that list.

The first time I had the chance to meet her partner, Lochie, was at Motown Monday for my partner's birthday. I invited them as part of my quest to convert Cassidy from just a work friend to a life friend. Her response to the invite was, "You party on Mondays? We'll try to come by."

You could always count on Cassidy to show up with a cheeky smile on her face and ready for some fun, even on a school night.

I didn't take any photos that night. But I distinctly remember looking over on the dancefloor during some funky grooves and seeing the two of them lost in their own world in each other's arms. I recall Louchie doing anything and everything to make Cassidy laugh, including serenading her at the top of his lungs (totally off-key) and swinging her around the dancefloor to the tunes of "He's the Greatest Dancer," by Sister Sledge, Marvin Gaye, The Supremes and countless others.

We spent the evening laughing, dancing, and celebrating how lucky we were to have these kinds of moments in life. Their joy radiated on that dancefloor as they moved in sync, much like they did in life.

Cassidy and Lochie exemplified an inspiring love - full of happiness and a shared zest for life.

Though they left us too soon, I find peace knowing they departed this world together, side by side, as they danced through life. Their spirits live on across those of us whose lives they touched.

While I mourn their passing, I also celebrate the gift it was to know them. I will honor their memory by embracing the days we have and filling them with as much light as they did.
