Like - was at a session this week that had lots of opps for polls - but in those too many had closed questions in Adobe Connect there is an option for free text response poll - that would open up the option to interact/contribute [Paula]

Like - Kieron Sheehy did a nice presentation in TEAMs with his video projecting him in front of slides this week - perhaps we can support people to present in differnt ways - I'm sure that many students will teach us a trick or two, too [Paula]

LIKE: In the Festival of Scholarship we used the Chat box selectively - eg we didn't give people access during presentations so they were listening rather than having separate conversations in the chat. This worked really well.

Don't like - lots of long sessions a day with 4*45 minute sessions. Prefer some variety in duration of presentations. Lack of time for questions, presentations with limited provocations

like where there's a thread of questions /themes that each presentation/activity follows - Claire S is good at this - asks you to answer three questions in your session

The choice of interacting or listening.
Visual slides, as well as a 'speaker'.
Links to online conference to be sent direct to email so you can locate the joining with ease.
Breaks between talks.

Sessions when talkers start group chats, jokes or discussions among themselves without explaining to the listeners.

Assumptions that listeners know as much as the talker.

Conferences that have the same format throughout the day. Variety to keep interested and engaged is preferred.
