With this in mind, we will try to look the best we can. Sweatpants, athletic pants, and athletic leggings will not be allowed on the trip (except for when we are traveling). Jeans, khakis, nicer pants, etc. will be acceptable. Wearing hats will be very limited. They applied by writing an essay describing what this opportunity would mean to them. The essays were then sent to all the middle school teachers (with names whited out) and they judged the essays. The students attending the trip will work the dinner. They will serve the food, take trays to tables, cleanup, and mingle with the guests. The cost of the dinner will be a cash donation or an item we can take with us on the trip (bottled water, fruit snacks, granola bars, etc.). The dinner will be 4:00-7:00 in the cafeteria. Students will be allowed to have their cell phones on the trip out of town until about 11:00 p.m. They will then give their phone to their chaperone. Each night we get to the hotel students will have an opportunity to have their cell phones to call home.
