-Improper waste management leading to sewage and waste (from landfills, civilian, companies or governments) leaking into ground water 

-Widespread deforestation reduces soils ability to hold water, resulting in possible desertification. 

-Dams can also cause droughts in lower river beds (along with this they can also damage the coast line around dams, possibly killing wildlife)

To encourage this, a tax right off could be put into place for people who zero scape their yards.  

-On average 30-60% of americas water usage is used on lawns. Along with that, pesticides a fertilizers used are a major contributer to water pollution.

- To zeroscape a yard it would cost around 250-675 dollars.
