The sharing session has been so much fun! I had a lot of fun listening to other members in the break out room talk about their books is also an eye opener as we all have different kinds of reads. It's nice to listen and share with others and not being judge and just have fun instead!

The sharing session has been great, I got to hear interesting books and other's opinion and experience in reading such book. The review in English also helps practice conversational English I rarely speak. The only danger things is probably the addition to my (already-mountainous) TBR list (not that I'm complaining)👌

PS : tris book doesn't comply with the "Joyful" theme because I didnt pay attention🫠

First of all, thank you for having this in online form! I work in weekends so I have a hard time attending offline book parties which are usually on the weekends. And I'm so happy for today!

Second of all, the members are really nice! I enjoyed my time with Kak Diana and Kak Pinky and we chatted about interesting things and hot takes regarding movie adaptation of books.

Third of all, the theme is really interesting. I have always thought that books shouldn't be adapted into movies but a TV series instead, but yeah, I guess it's a mixed opinion hence it's one of the hot takes we discussed.

Fourth of all, I have high hopes for the next events to come, definitely will join as many sessions as I can, expecting a lot more interesting ideas and themes.

Recommended next topic: Romance is Not Dead -> discuss about romantic tropes and the subtropes in it.

love the concept of reading whatever book you want as well as speaking in english!

definitely will join the next meeting if the opportunity allows it. please add more time for the silent reading season, 'cause 15 minutes is too short for me to even read more than 20 pages 😭 but overall, i love this meeting. see you guys on the next meeting! 🌱

sometimes the things that us needed most in today's age of constant digital fear and youthful awkwardness is a little bonding moment using another language. a little therapy yappy session if you will. talk in a circle and laugh every once in a while knowing there's similarities between us. it's very human, and it's a thing that we lose a lot often these days when everyone's scared of talking to the other person cuz maybe they're gonna do some bad stuff to the other. keep doing this because i do believe that the last thing we literate heads need right now is to be seen and to learn and to have fun while doing so! so u could say i like the experience, i'm gonna give it a rating of nineteen million job opportunities out of one palm tree

I recently join JBP's activity and I'm gagged by how warm, welcoming, fun, and insightful this community is! And now I know it has English Club? Aku langsung berlari kencyaannnkkk to join English Book Party! It's my first time here and it leaves great imprresion for me.

Today I heard Budi's thought about 'Seporsi Mie Ayam Sebelum Mati', Septi's story bout 'Flipped' book and movie (and how she likes movie so she watch it over and over again also tell us its her comfort ones) andd Kak Irfans slight opinion about 'Janji' and how it will be such a good movie if get addapted. I also can share my one of fav book after all: 'The School for Good and Evil' to them and it was such a great experience to share to others.

I may have not fluent in english but i wil absolutely doin it again!

Sometimes all you need to relief your stress is a little nerdy session when you can yap about anything you love- which is book- but, i found it really interesting even if you dont feel like reading, you're still welcome here. It's been a lot of fun! We talked about a lot of things and universes that we imagined to be a part of, and especially me I finally had a chance to give a shout out to one of my favourite fantasy, Green Creek Series by TJ Klune!

I really enjoyed Nadya's, Qayreen's, and Khoirul's presences! I also appreciate kak Tria's efforts and I'd say we did a pretty good job!

Love the energy, love the session, love the yapping also, and I am excited for the next EBP session!

Like what they said about romance: it's never dead! So I'd really love to recommend the next session to discuss about Romantic Subtropes like enemies-to-lovers, marriage trope, second chance trope, or maybe lovers-to-enemies trope 👀

It's my 3rd time! So fun, get so many insights <3 One of the participant even say silly thing😂 He wants to be the shoes of the main character (Robert Langdon in Inferno)😭 He says that he can't fight and can't run, so that's why he's chosing that. I'm amazed with his thoughts😭 (*in a positive way)

I think today's session has brought back a lot of memories, especially fond childhood memories with the book I reviewed: "Through The Glass, Darkly" by Jostein Gaarder. It was a memorable book that I read back in high school and it was a thought-provoking literature that helped me understand how to bridge the gap of life and death situation. Despite the challenging trope of life, death, grief, and acceptance, it is a lighthearted and calming book that really helped me to understand the meaning of life especially about acceptance and gratitude toward my life back then as a high schooler.

I hope everyone is inspired to read the book. It's really easy and it feels like a warm hug 🌸

I get to join the EBP today after idk how long. I kinda wish that the starting time is moved up a bit so it wont overlap with isha prayer. But it's still great! I get to meet awesome people, and talk about awesome stuff!
