One day he heard that other scientist were playing with microscopes so he bought one of his own. Observing everything in front of him he came upon a cork in which he found what are now known as cells. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Robert Hooke played an important part in our understanding of cells because he was the first to define cells. While studying cork with a microscope, he noticed that the cork was composed up in indivisible pieces that looked like bare wall rooms where monks lived (that's where cells got there name).</div>]]></description>
