For me, I enjoy reading and sitting outside enjoying nature with my dog. I feel like it's super important to find time to take a deep breath and appreciate life because we can get so caught up in all the craziness life gives us.

Hey ya'll! My tip for Grad school is to keep the mindset that the professors and other classmates are here to help us succeed. I don't want to speak for us all but I know there was A LOT of pressure in undergrad to be perfect. I really needed to hear what Dr. H said the first day about us no longer having to worry about a "weeding out" process. So anyway we can continue to remind ourselves and each other about that over the next 3 years will be helpful :)

My tip would be to try to incorporate/integrate Grad School in to your schedule with the other things in your life, especially since we are a part time program. Not that this program is not a priority, of course it is, but it needs to be in balance with the rest of the things we got going on. -Robet C.

Hi all! My tip for grad school pertains more to online education: having done quite a bit of it leading up to now, I've found that it's so much easier to procrastinate than in a regular classroom-setting. It's much easier to not feel bad about not doing something when you're not looking your professor in the eye a few times a week! It's easier to procrastinate and therefore easier to get behind! It's important to stay on top of it, which easiest to do (I'm echoing everyone else here!) when you set yourself a regular schedule of having it built into your day to balance out everything else in your life!

Even though we are off campus we can still seek out assistance whether that be video-chatting a professor if we need more clarification, emailing library staff back and forth to try to find the perfect article, etc. As students of uwec, we are still eligible for university services even though we may be far away.

Hey ya! My tip for Grad School is, as the professors have said, don't focus on the letter grade of a class but on the content you are learning. In the long run we won't even remember what grade we received in each class, rather we will remember the experiences and the knowledge. Future clients and employers are more interested in your ability to treat speech and language disorders rather than if you received and A or a B in a class. I think for many of us, especially myself, this is easier said than done.

Hi everyone! My tip for grad school is to let go of perfectionism, as our professors have shared with us, and remember we are going to make mistakes. Our goal should be moving towards shaping ourselves towards becoming a well-rounded professional, and that doesn't mean always getting A's necessarily . Also, set aside time for self-care, I speak for myself too, and reach out to professors if you need help. I think we can all agree that the faculty is incredibly caring, and wants us to succeed, but they won't know we need help unless we voice it.

Hi all! My tip for grad school is to not be so nervous to try new things. I really liked a tip that Dr. Hoepner gave us this week, "you always have to do something for the first time once, so you might as well get it over with."

My tip would be to make sure you get enough sleep. It is more important than most people realize. Studies have shown that sleep deprivation can shorten your life expectancy and increase your risk of cardiovascular disease (https://www.nhs.uk/news/lifestyle-and-exercise/lifespan-linked-to-sleep/). We all function better during the day when we've had a good night's rest, so be sure to get your Zs.

Since this is online and part time that can be difficult since our schedules are so open but setting time aside as "School Time" and letting everyone know you cannot be bugged during that time could be helpful. So taking care of yourself and giving yourself that time away from theAlso, realizing that you cannot dedicate all your time to one assignment to make it perfect is important. We are here to absorb as much as we can to become the best SLPs we can be and are not here to get hung up on small things. Finally,
