         <description><![CDATA[<div>Teen boys going through a growth spurt need about 2,000 to 3,200 calories per day. Teen girls going through a growth a spurt need about 1,800 to 2,400 calories per day. Federal guidelines suggest that a teen gets 45 to 65 percent of their calories from carbs, 10 to 30 percent from protein and 25 to 35 percent from fats. This all depends on the physical activity, height, weight, and age. Teenagers need about 8 cups of fluid a day to prevent dehydration. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Girls need on average 2,000 calories a day during their growth spurts and when the growing is done they usually need abut 1,600 calories a day to be healthy. Skipping meals will make you miss the vitamins and nutrients you need. Girls especially need lots of iron and eating protein will help when girls are going through puberty. If your a vegetarian then you can eat baked beans, nuts and seeds to get your iron and protein. Drinking water is very important especially when going through puberty and growing a lot. Its not a good idea to drink sports drinks or flavored water because that will gain fat and they are not very healthy for you. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Breakfast: Plain Oatmeal with 4 sliced strawberries, 1 sliced banana 2 teaspoons of honey. 1 cup of 2% milk. <br>Lunch:  2 pieces of sliced turkey breast on 2 whole wheat pieces of bread and 2 tablespoons of regular hummus and a piece of romaine lettuce. One 6 oz of yoplait strawberry and banana yogurt. One serving of carrot sticks. 20 oz of water. <br>Snack:  One cup of air popped popcorn no butter or oil. One cup of crystal light (Sugar Free) lemonade.<br>Dinner:  3 ounces of salmon with 6 roasted asparagus and a half cup of brown rice with 3 tablespoons of sodium free soy sauce. 20 oz of water. <br>If still hungry: A handful of mixed nuts or raisins. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Crock-Pot Apple-Cinnamon Oatmeal.<br>Ingredients-  <br>1 Cup of steel cut oats<br>1 Cup of milk of choice<br>3 Cups of water<br>1 large apple cut up<br>1 teaspoon of Cinnamon<br>1/4 cup of chopped walnuts<br>Prep time- 5 min<br>Cook Time 7 hours<br>You will need a crock pot and measuring tools.<br>Place everything but the chopped walnuts in the crock pot and stir and cook for 7 hours. (Normally at night so you can have it ready in the morning) <br>Top each serving with some chopped walnuts. </div>]]></description>
