On August 8 of 1963, During this time, Martin Luther King, who was an African American, fought and lead the community for racial equality and to end segregation. These people followed his lead and rallied and made protests in Washington D.C because they were determined to gain freedom ,end segregation, jobs, voting rights and much more.
