Through these two blogging experiences, I have learned to produce high quality work, as well as learning to adapt my content to a number of different audiences.

Within this role I have worked alongside and lead various groups of people, of all ages and backgrounds. I regularly communicate with staff and students from across the University, which is directly relevant to this role. I feel the biggest challenge I have had to overcome within this role is improving my presentation skills. Through practice and determination, I am now confident in planning and delivering presentations to groups of over 200 people, to which I have been praised by staff and guests. Therefore, my leadership and communication skills will assist me in this role, and I am confident in communicating both verbally and through written content and I love meeting new people.

A particularly notable time I have had to adapt to quickly changing deadlines at work was when I worked at PlayBook Australia and we were introducing a new website and booking platform. As minor issues arose with the website and adaptations were made, the deadlines changed a lot and I had to learn to be adaptive and flexible when it comes to such change. In particular, in my role as Student Ambassador I have worked as a mentor for school age students and I have regularly planned and delivered lessons for students up to A Level age. I have learned the importance of planning  when teaching classes of up to 30 children, but I have also learned to be adaptive and use my initiative to remain confident and calm when things don't go to plan. Therefore, I feel confident in applying these skills to a new role, where planning is important, but where it will also be important to be adaptive and open to change.

I have also developed my planning skills on my year abroad, where I have regularly taken responsibility for planning and organising travelling trips for myself and my 21 housemates (yes, 21!). I was tasked with creating a social media handbook and marketing guide for Phonic, based on feedback I gathered and my own marketing expertise. Phonic previously was not present on social media platforms and their marketing strategy was weak. I used a combination of analytical skills to solve the problem, and came up with creative solutions, such as social media competitions and live stories. I also presented the handbook in a creative way, to ensure clear communication and to engage the staff, who were previously unexperienced in social media and digital marketing.
