On 10 February, our kindergarten marked Safer Internet Day with a special activity that combined creativity, technology and thoughtful reflection. The classes had the opportunity to meet Aly, the friendly SID (Safer Internet Day) mascot, who helped them understand the importance of navigating the online world responsibly and safely.

After this first contact, the pupils took part in a STEAM‑based activity in which, working in teams, they built “computers” using games and materials available in the classroom. One of the teams stood out for having previously created a Robot Head, which came back to life during this activity.

At the end, each group presented its computer, respecting the time given and explaining their choices and construction processes. To finish the activity in a fun and meaningful way, the pupils used the ChatterPix app to give the Robot Head a voice. The chosen sentence reinforced the central message of the day: “It is very important to have our parent’s support when we are online.”

It was a morning full of enthusiasm and learning, where everyone — children and educator — came together for a safer Internet.
