2002: Johannesburg declaration on sustainability development and plan of implementation adopted at the world summit to reaffirm commitments to poverty eradication.

2012: Launched the process to develop a set of SDG's.

2015: A landmark year with the adoption of several major agreements. Framework for disaster risk reduction (March 2015), Agenda for sustainability and 17 SDG'S were adopted (September 2015), Paris agreement of Climate Change (December 2015).

TODAY: The division for sustainable development in the UN provides support for the UN SDG programs.
