While Galician is not a dialect of Portuguese, these two languages have many aspects and words in common. In fact, Galician seems to be an intermediary language between Spanish and Portuguese.          <description><![CDATA[<div>This a famous sonnet, by Olavo Bilac, a Brazilian poet. It is a declaration of love for the Brazilian Portuguese language. Right in the first verse, the poet makes a reference to the origin of Portuguese, which was the last neolatin language to arise. Also, it is called "<em>inculta</em>" because it did not develop from Classical Latin, but from Vulgar Latin. Yet, it is still beautiful.<br>&nbsp;<br>As any good poetry, the true meaning of the words must be found beyond the surface, and it might not be an easy task.
