Before half term, our student body took part in a vote to select our new Senior Student Leadership Team—and we are delighted to share the results!

Congratulations to Ariana and Luqman, our newly appointed Head Students, and to Ana-Maria and Samuel, who take on the roles of Deputy Head Students 👏

We are also proud to welcome our wider Senior Student Leadership Team: Zara, Toyin, Mitchelle, Joel, Daisy, Mikolaj, Harry, Lacey, Basirat, Grace and Tania

This outstanding group of students will play a key role in representing their peers and contributing to school life over the coming year. We look forward to seeing the positive impact they will make!

As our Year 9 students prepare for the move into Key Stage 4 and year 10, I would like to inform you of an upcoming uniform transition.

From tomorrow (11.06.2026), year 9 students are permitted to wear the Key Stage 4 uniform, consisting of the black CoPA polo shirt and black CoPA jumper. This is entirely optional at this stage and students may continue to wear the current purple uniform until the end of year 9, it is only in September 2026 that the black uniform becomes compulsory.

We hope this opportunity helps students to begin to recognise their progression into Key Stage 4 and embrace the increased maturity and responsibility that comes with becoming some of our academy's senior students.

In addition, we are always grateful for any donations of uniform that is no longer required. Donated items will be recycled back into the academy to support other families. If you wish to donate any uniform, please ask your child to bring this to the year office or drop off in the uniform box in the front entrance.

Due to the extreme weather predicted for this week we have communicated to students and parents the below arrangements for this week.

Students can wear either of the below options:

Option 1 - Full CoPA School Uniform

Option 2 - Full CoPA PE Kit with Trainers only (Please note no other shorts can be worn, this includes no hot‑pants, cycling shorts, or non‑approved shorts)

We also ask you encourage your child to:

- Bring a refillable water bottle

- Apply sun cream before school

- Bring a sunhat and/or sunglasses

Our students participated in maths workshops in the morning and in the afternoon worked with students from other schools to build a mechanical arm and competed to see whose arm could carry the most plastic balls and water. They did incredibly well, with CoPA students on all three winning teams!

Well done team CoPA, you are a credit to our school and you should be so proud!

This week our Senior Student Leadership Team had the wonderful opportunity to share lunch with our new Head of Academy, Mrs Copland. 🍽️

This informal gathering provided a valuable space for students and staff to get to know one another, build positive relationships, and—most importantly—share ideas about how we can continue to improve our academy for all. 💬

We are incredibly proud of our student leaders, who represented their peers with confidence, insight, and a genuine passion for making a difference. Their voices play a vital role in shaping our school community.

We look forward to seeing these ideas develop as we continue working together to make our academy the best it can be! 🚀
