So on the night 12/25/1776 they crossed the delaware river and surounded the  hessiens camp aand when they wokeup they were in for a suprise. The battle was small but critical since the us was struglling when they took over trenton they got suplies and hope. american only had five wounded but 2 died to the cold. While 22 were killed 83 wounded and 922 were captured for the hessiansHessiens are german soilders who fought for the british. They were hevey armed but did it for the money. They did this by hiding in the bushes and trees,they had very good rifles to hit the British they were targeting. He would then pass it on to another person ,Austin Roe who takes it and buries it in Abraham Woodhull's farm and then he would revile it with liquid iron sulfate.
